- Notes: A tangled mass of thin, brown, elastic branches. Not to be confused with Haliclona ?ruetzleri de Weerdt, 2002, which has thinner branches, is softer, and has an unispicular reticulation of oxea spicules (compared to a reticulation of spongin fibers with cored spicules typical of Callyspongia in C. strongylophora.
