Species Description and Notes

Notes: Black or dark gray irregular cushions,with greenish tinges, rather crumbly, with a few slighlty elevated oscules; skin a bit leathery, with visible reticulation of tangentially placed spicules, which can be detached. It grows on mangrove roots and seagrass beds.
