Species Description and Notes

Notes: Orange-red bushes with fan-like folds. Could be confused with other bushy species with similar color such as Monanchora arbuscula (Duchassaing & Michelotti, 1864), also pictured here. Florida and Gulf of Mexico records of Clathria prolifera (Ellis & Solander, 1786) may be attributed to this species, which lives further north in the western Atlantic.
